FSB & RSB for '05 WRX?

I have $500 in Subaru Bucks burning a hole in my pocket. I've been looking into a set of STi sway bars for the car ('05 WRX sedan). Would I necessarily need both a front and rear sway bar, or just a rear? I read through the sway bar sticky and I came away thinking balance, meaning I should get a FSB & RSB. However, I've read a few other threads that suggest a RSB only. Is a FSB a waste of money? I'm just driving the car on the street, no autocross or track days or anything like that and I have upgraded to summer tires and 17" rims already.

Thanks,

ck

I purchased a rear sway bar only for my car. The wrx understeers quite a bit and the rear sway bar will help make the car have a more neutral handling. Do you have springs yet? You could use your subaru bucks on a set of STi pinks as well as the rsb.

From what I've read it would be nice to have both if you plan on racing it but for your needs a RSB by it's self should be fine.

The STI RSB will cost you around 200 Subaru bucks if you go through SPT, its 21mm and its not adjustable. A 24mm Whiteline adjustable RSB will cost you $165 http://www.mpjperformance.com/main.html. If you have your mind set and you want the STI RSB you may want to check this place out http://www.subaruxtras.com/SearchRes...CategoryID=100. They accept Subarubucks and their prices are a lot better than SPT and my local dealers.

I used my first $500 Subarubucks for a STI upipe (over priced), a set of SPT springs (over priced) and I am getting ready to fork out the cash for a 24mm Whiteline adjustable RSB. The total came out to around $640 ($140 out of pocket) for the springs and upipe.

Man that is nice that the site takes SubaruBucks and has cheaper prices. Thanks for the advice!

No problem. I haven’t bought anything from Subaruxtras yet but I would guess you will need to call them and figure out how to go about using your Subaru bucks.

Good luck
