Question Front Swaybar question?

Will the 19mm front swaybar from a '01 RS work on a '02 WRX wagon? Rather than putting in a 22mm rear bar I'd like to go with a slightly smaller front bar.
I know the 19mm STi front bar from a WRX sedan won't work on the WRX wagon.

Thanks

Steve

May I ask why you prefer to downsize the front bar? It will have the same effect on over/understeer as a larger RSB, but it will increase body roll and cause slower turn-in.

i seem to recall Rally Performance reccomending the 19mm front bar to reduce understeer.

Maybe when on dirt this is desireable? But on the street, weakening the suspension will just make unbearable body roll. You might have less understeer, but if you're driving hard enough to induce understeer you're not the sort of person who wants to weaken the suspension. Get the larger rear bar... better yet, get the adjustable.

The reason I want to try a smaller front rather than a larger rear is to keep the suspension as compliant as possible. My wife hates hard riding suspension. My current setup is stock springs and struts comfort ALK and 20mm rear swaybar with Kartboy links.

Sway bars have no effect on how the car rides, only on body roll. She will never notice a larger RSB, unless it's like 26 or 28mm.
