I'm wondering if it is possible to swap the WRX front brakes to the rear. Say you replace the fronts with a Big Brake Kit, is it possible to put the larger calipers on the rear? Is this a straight-forward install or would there be some modifications necessary?
Thanks,

You know its funny that you ask this
. But why could it not be done??

You wouldn't be able to use the Subaru front brakes. The caliper mounting holes are too far apart, and the caliper mount is too long (would be too far out from the rotor). Anything is possible, but would require major mods to the caliper and hub assy. Would be easier to get the STi or Brembo rears with the hub backing plate for WRX. Or if you want to spend some $$$ you can get the R180 diff., shafts, hubs, and 2 pot calipers like the ones I have for sale on here.

I was really just curious, as I don't have the cash to start thinking about brake kits anyway. I sort of suspected from what I have read in other posts that this was not possible, someone would have done it by now if it was. thanks for the replies.
