That's what I'm thinking since it isn't universal that everyone has run into Noltec steering rack bushings that don't fit. I haven't received a response to my contact with their site so hopefully they are asking their U.S. vendors about problems. I know of one person that returned his bushings to the vendor but maybe the set wasn't returned to Noltec for examination.

I don't have one of the 'bad' sets of bushings to show them now so all we have to go by are the occasional reports on the board and the existing photo when we had a chance to compare all three driver's side bushings on Egan's work bench that day.

If Noltec makes Whiteline's bushings for them, then I'm stumped as to why their own would be made differently since they are made for the same application.

Noltec does not make Whiteline's bushings. There is another company, whose name currently escapes me, that makes Whitelines bushings and is now marketing their own as well.

As far as this being a bad batch, I don't think so. The pictures I took were from earlier this year IIRC. The thread starters problem is more recent. However, I highly doubt all of Noltec's bushings are fubared. There would be a lot more complaints on the board. I just wish Noltec would respond and let potential customers know there is no problem and these were isolated cases of bad QA/QC.

Where is a good place to buy the whiteline bushings? I actually have the Noltec, but may just buy the whiteline bushings and make the install easier.
