Ferrari Brembos?
OK...I was at NOPI and there was this Ferrari, I looked at the brakes because from what I here they use custom brembos. They had the regular caliper that said ferrari and everything but there was this thing on the opposite side which looked like a mini caliper or something. Anyone know what I'm talking about or know where I can find pics of their brakes to show you guys. They reason I'm wondering is because it was to help braking performance somehow, I'm assuming, and anything that helps is always better. Any idea what it is?

You were probably looking at the separate parking brake on the rear wheels.
Don't get me started on the effectiveness of using a front caliper designed for a mid-engined supercar on the front of a Subaru...

What rear calipers are you running? The standard 38/44 piston sizes of the F40 caliper are much too large for the front of the WRX if you're using the stock sliding rear caliper (which I somehow doubt you are). If you're using the USDM rear STi setup, that front caliper is actually too small because the USDM STi front caliper has 40/46mm pistons. Just curious.
Oh, and thanks for dusting off the soapbox Kev, it's been awhile. If I get a chance later today I let 'er rip.

Alex, if your rotor is 32mm wide, then you have either the F-40 caliper (38/44) or the F-50 caliper (40/44), with the F-50 being more likely if you bought the kit recently. That's a good thing because the F-50 is closer to the caliper that comes on the USDM STi (40/46), and therefore will create a more ideal bias with the rear calipers from the USDM STi (36). So basically, you're a little rear biased but that's nothing a set of front StopTech's won't fix.
Sorry I had to.
To be honest, your setup would probably work pretty well on the track with an aggressive street pad in the rear and a full race pad up front due to the fact that the greater friction up front will create more front brake torque and even things out.
On the street, it would be best to run an aggressive street pad up front and the stock pads in the back, or at least something with stock-like levels of friction.
