Determining when my WRX was made for brake pads

Is there a location on the car where I can find out if my car was a model after 7/2002 or before 6/2002. I need this information to figureout which brake pads to purchase for my 2002 WRX.

OR

Does this not matter? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tirerack has two prices listed on for post and when for pre. However, when I go to another website they just have 2002 brake pads with no questions about what model year I have.

Build Date

I went to the Subaru website (www.subaru.com) and e-mailed them that question along with my VIN and within a couple of hours they got back to me with my exact build date. Good luck.

First of all, if your car is a MY 02, it was manufactured in 2001.

The manufacture date is on one of the two placards in the door jam I think...if not, it's on the one under the hood.

I was only aware of their being different front calipers for MY03 WRX's.
