Thumbs up Cusco Zero2's for '05 STi out Aug 3!! (am I reading this right?)

Am I reading this page right? From Cusco's website:
http://www.cusco.co.jp/news04/gdb_e.html

Says the Zero1 and Zero2 coilovers for the "GDB type E" will be out Aug 3, while the Zero2R's will be out Aug 8!!!

I'm not sure what a "GDB type E" is in Japan, but that's definately a picture of an '05!!

wooohooo!!!
Can any vendors confirm if they're expecting these coilovers soon?

Yes, they are released during the first week of Aug. However, CUSCO are back ordered A LOT on those, so I doubt there will be a lot of those in US right away.

Uh oh, has the suspension set up on the '05 changed to necessitate this?

Yes. CUSCO is one company that makes parts that WORK, not parts that just FIT.

What changed? I was planning on swapping the coilovers form my '03 WRX to a STi. Is this not such a good idea?

It appears that the strut mounting point on the front spindle is a bit wider. Can the '05 front lower perch be ordered by itself from Cusco?

Yes you can order them, but it is not worth it. You WAAAAAAAAAAAy better of selling your set and ordering a new set.
