Coilovers, shocks, sways recommendations?
I have an 03 WRX, and I wanted to get some coilovers, shocks, sways. Can you guys recommend me some good shocks, sways and coilovers for my year, without having to go all out and buy top-of-the-line products?

honestly, it all depends on what you plan on doing with the car. If you plan on auto x or track days I would say coilovers. Daily Driving, I would say sways.
sways-- whiteline
coilovers-- don't know too much about these but have heard good things about kw and bc
shocks--koni????

Alrighty. You actually have a few options. The first question, and I think I've mentioned this before to other people, is... "Do you need these things?"
What do you want to do with the car?
Sway bars are a good first place to start off, but only if you'll utilize them. Same with other suspension components. Let me know what you want to do and I can give you a few ideas of what you can do.

FYI. You don't need both coilovers and shock and springs. Coilover is more or less a pre-assembled shock/spring package. Coilovers usually consists of shocks/springs/pillowball mounts. Shock and springs are shocks and springs. Usually not sold assembled together.
The benefits of shocks/springs is that you'll have better ride comfort. You have dampening adjustment, but not much else. Unlike the coilover set-up, there won't be many adjustable settings. The pro is that Koni or KYB shocks are life-time warranty.
Coilovers can have a bunch of settings. Most entry level coilovers will have camber plates, height adjustment, and dampening adjustment. The ride will most often be stiffer than shock and spring combo. The downside is that unlike the shock/spring combo, there are more ways to screw up the suspension setting. Also, most coilovers, with the exception of KW, are usually one year warranty. Once your shocks blow, and they will, you'll have to pay to have them rebuilt.

Well, I plan on taking it on the track for fun. I basically want a fairly stiff suspension. I want to try to make my car handle like a go-kart. I'm thinking of purchasing these new perrins rear sways with endlinks for $300 and a whiteline front sway. I want to get stiffer shock absorbers, but I don't know what brands to look for. And is it true that lowering springs won't give much of a handling change? I've talked to a few mechanics, and they said if I wanted to really improve handling, I should go for sways and shocks first. What do you guys think?

Do you have a gf? Or a significant other?
If you want your car to handle like a go-kart, you should just get a go-kart then.
As for your question about lower springs, it depends. If the product is trash, it'll just be a waste of money, but if you keep to name brand products, they should give you some better handling characteristics.
Take a look at Swift or Crucial springs.

It depends. If you are changing out your shock and springs, it shouldn't blow out your suspension. Changing springs only though may have an impact on the life of your shock though. It really depends on the spring, though.
