Coilover rebuild

Hello,

I have been running my set of Tein flex for 4x,xxx miles. I heard coilovers need rebuilding but I cannot tell if they gone bad. How would I know if my coilovers are still good? Any particular details to look out for?

No stability on the side meaning it sway to side? I've no clue... everything seems fine when I go thru bumps.
