Coilover question
I've been looking through a bunch of threads about coilovers (e.g. Tein HA's Cusco2's, etc.) and I have also been going to my local auto-enthusiast store to check stuff out. Recently I noticed that they had something similar to this by a company called OBX for about $300. How do these types of "coilovers" work compared to full sets by Tein et. al? Or are these the equivalent of cut springs. Seems too cheap to be effective, because I am thouroughly of the "you get what you pay for" crowd. Thanks.

Consider a coilover to be two parts : the spring with mounting hardware (i.e. perches) and the shocks (which are valved nowhere close to stock). It is VITAL that you get both to work properly.
These "coilovers" get you only the springs/perches. I personally don't see how they're gonna mount up at all to stock strut inserts!
So yeah : that auction is gonna get you some good doorstops but that's about it

Thanks for the input. That is what I figured, but I'm always willing to be edumacted.
So let me see if I have this right: The coilovers being sold in the auction are basically a replacement for the OEM spring and "should" fit over the OEM shocks? So basically they are a spring replacement? If I am wrong, slam away!
