I have an '04 STi and recently I've started noticing a clanking from the front left of the car. It happens under 65mph with small waves or bumps in the asphalt. I just went through the entire corner of the suspension (strut upper/lower bolts, end links, steering linkage, brake caliper, a-arm bolts) and either I missed it, or it's something I didn't check. If anyone has thoughts on this, I'd much appreciate them.

 

well that year sti has a problem with the rear struts crapping out. they start doing the same thing you're describing. Maybe they have the same problem in the front. I think its under warranty, but i'm sure your car isn't.
