chassis braces??
chassis braces??
what braces have you used and how did you like them. i have been looking at some, like the trunk braces, center lower brace, and the front braces. i want to know, what they do, and how they work in the turns? I'm trying to pick out what the best suspension part i need fist. if you want to know what i am looking can post pics if you want. i think they all should be the same or very close enough. thank you

Here is a bit of info...
My cousin and I were in the same predicament not too long ago...awaiting parts at this time.
Try doing a search on:
GT Spec Underbracing
and
Du-luck
My cousin went with the 4 piece GT Spec set (two sides/front/h-brace) and I will be going with the Du-luck underbrace. We are currently awaiting the arrival of each.
Both will require the subframe to be removed (which is not load bearing btw) and replaced with the newly acquired bracing. From what I understand, the JDM STI doesn't even have the subframe brace and it is placed on the USDM version for US front impact requirements.
The GT Spec will not allow the use of the stock underpan while the Du-luck will.
I cannot comment on how each of these will change the ride/handling abilities of our cars because I haven't ridden in one yet...
So far, we both have the following:
1. Cusco Front/Rear Strut braces
2. Cusco V2 H-Brace
3. Offensive Racing Fender Brace
I can say the 2nd and 3rd braces really can be felt...the strut-braces for our cars configuration really doesn't do much (maybe the rear a bit)...more bling than anything else...
anyhow, do some searches...you'll find some very interesting information...
Both use different approaches to a common issue...chassis stiffness.

I felt a noticable difference in hard cornering with the cusco rear ST and V brace
When I had the front strut tower brace on, it made the car under steer a little more.
the more bang for the buck mod would be sway bars...
