Caliper re-finish

I have 4-pot Brembo's in the front in silver. I just got rear STi 2-pot Brembo's and they are gold.

I want to have both F and R one color.

What can I use to paint them and how do I do it?

I want the best possible outcome.

Foliatec caliper paint seems to be the best way to go. I know that they have a variety of colors and silver, I believe is one color that they make. When you buy their caliper paint, it comes as a kit and it tells you how to mix the solutions together and what to do. That seems to be the best way to go if you are planning on doing it yourself.

I used Duplicolor 1200deg hi-temp paint on mine and I wasn't terribly impressed by the results. It lasted OK, but it seemed to pick up just as much brake dust as the calipers did originally, and it didn't wash off easily at all. After a while the calipers didn't really look all that much better than they did without the paint. I've never used the Foliatec stuff, but I'm under the impression based on reviews I've read that it keeps a really nice, high gloss finish, and brake dust just rinses right off the stuff.

What ever you do, dont use the VHT hi-temp paint or brake paint. After one track day it burned up. What looks like major brake dust is actually burn marks of some sort.

Get some APC paint!

nah, really, get FoliaTec!

Rumors are true, dirt washes right off and you always have new looking calipers!

Go for it!

Just try the Foliatec stuff. I have a friend that used it on his car and he has had good results with it.
