FutureWRX- For the most part, a Big Brake Kit consists of the following:
-Bigger Brake Rotors
-Bigger Brake Calipers
-New Brake pads (which properly fits the new calipers)
Some kits also include Stainless Steel braided brakelines. Big Brake kits normally doesn't alter ABS functions of a vehicle nor do they require for you to pump your brakes; you would go about using your brakes in the normal fashion as stock brakes. The benefit of a big brake kit is a much better stopping distance and brake performance, especially under heavy use. Not all big brake kits are the same though, some do perform better than others. Do your research and don't be afraid to ask questions before buying a set (because they are not cheap). Hope this helps.
