Brakes 06 WRX upgrade?

Hey all. I was looking at a set of brakes on sale at Fast WRX.
Basically it's the OEM brakes for the 06/07 WRX Legacy GT. The cost would be about 1600 or so. I would also buy a rear rotors.

I guess the question is. Is this worth it, or not?
I'm needing to replace my brakes soon anyway (just the pads but I thought It might be a good Idea to upgrade now. (also it's kind of a promotion gift to myself) But I didn't know whether I wanted brakes or New Turbo and supporting mods.

What do you want out of a brake upgrade and do you track the car? Also, that price seems steep.

If you are looking for better feel, better stopping power, etc for the street, there is no need to upgrade calipers. A good set of pads, good fluid, good rotors should do it. If you are tracking, its a different story and fade will be a substantial issue

It is ball park. Front and rear brakes, new from a Subaru OEM parts vendor online. About $800 front for 4pots/pads/rotors, and $800 for 2pots/pads/rotors.

'06 WRX already comes equipped with OEM 4-pot front calipers. I haven't priced the Legacy kit which, when installed on a WRX, is a true big brake kit. Any time you install different calipers or larger rotors, check for wheel clearance. The factory 4-pots will fit behind most 17" wheels and GC chassis 16" x 7.0" RS wheels, but not the old style 16" x 6.5" WRX rims.
