Brake upgrade recomendations for 2000 RS

I'd like to upgrade the brakes on my 2K RS, I'd like to ask the advice of some you that know more than I... I don't need anything too nuts, I'm just driving streets and windy mountain roads. I know I'll need pads, ss lines and better fluid, and probably a rotor upgrade. Any kits or vendors to recomend?

Thanks for the help.

I'm selling my whole front end setup off of my 02 wrx. Hawk pads, new rotors, calipers and brackets. I've upgraded so this stuff is sitting in my garage. I'll let it all go for $150.

I just might take you up on that. So you live in Sonoma? I'm out in Davis and drive to Berkeley/oakland about once a week, so I'm not so far at all. I can't do it this weekend, and I'll be in atlanta next week, but if you feel like waiting, I could pick up and save the shipping.

...So the wrx rear end brakes are the same as the RS, so if I got your front end I'd just need Pads for my rear end, ss lines, and fluid. Am I correct on that?

I'm not to sure about the rear end brakes as they switched the design at some point.

If they are the same, I also have the set of stock rear rotors that look almost new that I'll throw in the deal as well. I have the stock pads for the rear and the front too. Everything goes. The Hawk pads have about 2 thirds of material left and the rotors only have about 2500 miles on them. The stock pads have roughly 45k miles on them. I do mostly freeway driving so I just recently changed them at about 60k miles. I put new rotors in the front as the pads looked great. I also upgraded to the H6 rear brakes so the rear rotors came off at the same time. About 2500 miles later, the new legacy GT stuff came out so I upgraded to that and I pulled everything off the front end. I will bolt right up. I would go ahead and upgrade to SS lines while your at it or you can use the stock lines that are on my calipers.

I can wait. The floor in my garage can be held down a little while longer. No rush. Just let me know when you can pick them up. I'll give you a call this weekend to work things out.

Great. We'll talk an work something out. I just ordered some SS lines from COBB to go with those brakes. I was up in the mountains way north on 49 last weekend, my first time in the hills with my impreza, it was so much fun but I definately felt like the brakes could use a bit of improvement. I look forward to getting started on the upgrade.

thanks again-
