Brake thunk when on pedal after a long distance

So i just had my brakes done. and everythign is awesome except...

sometimes, not always just sometimes, if i have driven for more than a couple miles without using the breaks, as soon as i go to use them it makes a thunk sound in the front right wheel. but if i push on th brake pedal soon after that to repeat the sound i get nothing.

i have had no problems braking. eveything looks to be in good shape. no steering wheel shake, car brakes 100% awesome. i have stoptech pads and they beat the **** out of the OEM pads.

is there anything that would make the brake pads move back during regular driving that would cause it to thunk against the rotor when i brake. if so what can i do to fix this.

thanks in advance

ryan

you might have pad slap. remove the pads and add antiseize onto the shims and the back of the pads not the surface side that touches the rotor. that should fix it.
