I'm surprised you think that setup is harsh. I would think SPT's will be softer since they're progressive rate rather than linear like the Prodrives. I ran them for awhile but wanted a stiffer setup and ended up switching to GC. If you have a bugeye I'll sell you my old SPT's for $100 (they were $280 new) + shipping.

IMO Koni's are the best option but they only make an insert so there is a lot more work involved than a KYB.

my assumption was that prodrives were the best spring as far as ride quality along with stock struts.

the only other springs that may be comparable in ride quality would be pinks, or maybe eibach pro kits. also kyb agx would be a tad stiffer than stock on the softest settings, so that would be something to consider also.

i say you try to make it out to a meet and see what people are running, and take a ride to see which you like best.

That would be your best bet. Good advise.

If you can't make a meet I did a bit of research and here's what I came up with.

Progressive rate springs (more comfortable)

Eibach Pro
F193/R161

SPT
F212/R186

Linear rate (More stiff driving around town)

Prodrive
F215/R195

02-03 Pinks
F215/R190

04 pinks
F257/R217

Looks like the pro kit would be best for you then the SPT's. Since these springs are progressive rate they should definitely give you a more comfortable ride. 02-03 pinks would be very similar to the Prodrives and 04 pinks would be a lot stiffer.

As for the struts, I have no experience with the agx's (from what I've read their great struts) but from what I've read it is worth spending the extra time and $ on the Koni's. I love mine.

As far as struts it from what I have read the KYB GR2s are a really nice upgrade for not a lot of money. The Tokico D-Specs are also really nice, and the Koni inserts at the top end.

Super
