Question Ball Joint removal?

I do know how to remove ball joints from the front suspension. I have several techniques that I can use. But, what I'm asking is how to remove them withOUT damaging the boot or the actual ball joint itself. I have a BRAND NEW set of ball joints that I just installed on my car. I just came across some JDM aluminum control arms that I'd like to install on my car and want to use the ball joints that I already have. These ball joints have about 100 miles on them.

Since it is a newly installed item I figure that it won't be as difficult to remove them but my car as played tricks on my before. I did however take a pro-active approach and lubbed them up before installing them into the front wheel hub assembly.

Any tips? tricks?

Thanks,

Jon
