Question AP Racing Strap Drive Brake Kits

Anybody ever had them, been in a car with them, know how they feel, like 'em, not like 'em? I e-mailed AP Racing and found a vendor in Cali that sells them, and an on-site comparo between the AP Racing kit and the GT Brembo kit has made me seriously consider these for a front brake upgrade. Your thoughts??

This is not a thread about APR brakes, but more specifically APR Strap Drive brakes (the strap drive has to do with the rotor set up). Anybody?

looks like it serves the same purpose as mclaren clips for two piece rotors on some brembo offerings.

what purpose is that??? Kinda new into cars/racing, and while I spent a good amount of time reading up on stoptech/rear brake kit threads, could still use some more help on this one.
