anyone make a removable rear strut tower bar?

i know for vw gti's at least, there is a rear strut tower bar made that just has a cotter/pushpin at each side so you can drop it out for cargo room. This is why I bought the wagon!! I can't seem to find any removable bars though.

all the bars are removeable, it's just a little harder than a cotter pin. all it takes is a hex key and a wrench to pull the center section on most bars, and there are quite a few wagon guys that carry those tools in the glove box for just that purpose.

that said, if you access to a good hardware store, i don't see why you couldn't turn any bar into a "quick release" type bar with cotter pins or other quick release fasteners.

damn, someone had a good idea with that quick release skewer. i just hope its strong enough.
