Any spring/shock combos out there?

Are there any sprink/shock kits available, other than the STi setup? The STi is a little pricey. My bud just got a Weitec kit for his fast a** GTI 1.8T for $350! I'm looking to lower about 1"-1.5", but I don't want to do it on the stock struts. Thanks!!

check out M2 performance, they have a kit with springs, shocks and a rear swaybar for a good price....dont know how good it is though. Also i hear eibachs plus kyb's are a good combo.

Eibahcs and KYBs can be had on eBay for ~$590 shipped. Installation is on you of course. The next step up from that is the Prodrive non-coilover setup, but that's twice as much. Either one will give you a real good, fast setup without severe ride penalties.
