I got a complete compressed set off a 2005 STI. What parts can I use on a 04 WRX or WRX wagon? I heard that the tophats and springs is all I can use and the strurts I can bolt up? True of False? WIll it bolt up to a 2005 WRX or it's a no go. The guys I got it from said it did not bolt up to his 06 wrx? So what are the Facts?

Can I just buy a set of cvrmotorsports.com (KYB AGX) for a 2004 wrx and use the springs and top hats and have a full coplete suspm with struts ans STI springs?

Are the 04 and 05 STI Springs differnt in size, is that why you need 05 top hats to use 05 springs?

Sorry for all the stupic questions, I'm not sure if I want to use on my Pops WRX sedon or try to ge them to fit on a 05 WRX? I'm still learning.

ps. I will post pics tomoorw to see if I got real STI suspention or I got something else, how can I tell, anyone have the part #'s for the struts since I can read those?

the 04's and 05's cannot be swapped with each other. atleast, I know 05 STi struts won't fit on an 04 or earlier WRX. Hoever, I don't know if 05 WRX struts will fit on 04 or earlier.

 

if you find out that you can't use the struts i'll buy them

as long as you have matching springs to top hats I'm pretty sure you're all good.

I ran sedan suspension on my wagon. SpecC. V7 on a V8 car. All good.

but I'm not 100% sure.

can the '05 STi springs be mounted on '02-'04 struts? if not, why? if yes, which top hats need changing?
