04 sti struts compared to 05
why are the 04 oem sti struts red and the 05's and 06's sti struts black? is there a specific difference in performance? ride? or just look or brand? this confuses me.

i cant speak for the 04's but i know the 05 struts are similiar if not the same as the V9's only difference is the spring rates..but you can easily fixed that by switching over to jdm pinks. best combo so far that i have put in my car

'04 STi struts will work on your '05 wagon, but your original post was comparing '04 STi struts with '05+ STi struts. Also, there are issues I'm not entirely clear on with putting sedan struts on a wagon. I think it makes the ride height a bit high in the rear.

its the front and i got RCE camber plates to take care of that and lower it 1/2 an inch in the front. but i got 05 sti struts and springs to put on my wagon. what is wrong with the ears on the 05 sti struts to make them not fit?
