New Tein Coilovers are Here!

All I can say is, Wow. I saw them at SEMA and was amazed. We should be the first Tein distributors to get these coilovers. Here are some specs, cause I know some of you are dying to know.

A. Upper Mount
Pillow upper mount is set in each model for controlling the compliance, for realization of direct driving feel and handling incomparable with the original one.

B. Mono-Tube Structure
Mono-tube shell case is adopted to enable very fine control of the machine and aggressive yet detailed communication with the road surface. It generates and maintains very stable damping force, which even stands the intensive and repeated runs on the circuit, reacting to the tiniest data from the road surface.

C. Full-Length Adjustment Function
Full-length adjustment system with movable lower bracket has been adopted, which enables the separate adjustment of the ride-height and pre-load.

D. Separate Compression and Rebound Damping Force Adjustability
For finer settings, total of 256 different kinds of damping force settings (16 levels for compression x 16 levels for rebound) are available, by adding the systems both at base valve and piston rod. Use of specially shaped needle valve enables linear damping force adjustment at each and every 16 levels.

E. Rust-Proofing
All threading parts are coated with specially formulated Fluorine, to prevent adherence and rust. Electroless nickel plating combined with clear painting is applied to lower brackets.
*Strut type only.

F. Inverted Shell Case for Strut Type
Inverted steel shell case is used for strut types, for which the side rigidity is inevitable. Linear damping force, which is one of the advantages of mono-tube system, is just as same as the regular shell case.

G. Aluminum Shell Case
Light weight aluminum shell case is used for wishbone and/or multi-link type suspension, for superior heat liberation. Furthermore, the surface is treated with specially formulated hard black Alumite for improved durability.

H. Upper Seat
Upper spring seat is used for wishbone and/or multi-link type to move springs and dampers coaxially. This enables springs to stroke at proper rates without twisting, and dampers to stroke smoother.

I. External Reservoir swivel Tank
External tank mounted at the bottom of shell case turns in the direction of thrust, for finer full-length adjustment.
* Wishbone/Multi-link Type Only.

J. Conical Spring Washer
With existing full-length adjustable dampers, various vibration stresses might cause bracket lock to loosen in rare occasions. SUPER RACING has 'Conical Spring Washer' inserted between a bracket lock and a lower bracket, to effectively prevent loosening of a bracket lock even when circuit-driving intensively.

Available for 02 and up WRX/STi.

If you want to use EDFC you will need to purchace 2 EDFC units. They have one for the top and one for the bottom.

This is the dual EDFC Compatable Coilovers, that made such a buzz at SEMA this year. These coilovers have seperate compression and rebound dampening adjustability for each individual coilover, so you have the ability to adjust how fast or slow the shock will compress and rebound, this is very different than any other coilover that tein has produced, most all of the other coilovers have the adjustability of dampening, but not seperated like this. Let us know if you have any more questions.
