hey, thanks a lot!! I really want this thing, so I should offer him 10k then, right? And maybe offer to take the stock oem subie wheels and let him have the 17inchers to knock the price down even more?

offer ten, but without seeing the interior, the outside looks like it's worth the 12k, nice car.

anyone else think of what I should check before buying? I'm 12 hours away from this guy and want to make sure this isn't going to be a lemon.

check to make sure all the body panels line up. A tell tale way of finding out a car has been in an accident is when you rub your hand across a body line, and the two peices don't match up.

Also, open up the hood, and look around. Look for parts the are missing bolts, or bolts that look like they have been unbolted (marks on the heads of the bolts). Also look for anthing that is the wrong color (blue, red, stainless steel).

Then take it out for atest spin. No matter what the owner says, spin it up a little, little to the way it sounds. Test drive without the radio on. And if he says to slow it down or don't mash it so hard, it's most likely cuz he might have somethign to hide.

good luck bro
