Is it unheard of?
Is it unheard of to find a stock 2004 WRX 5-Speed with around 20-25K miles for around $18,500 from a private party, or is that around average? I figure I can spend around that much on a car, and I am partial to the MY04-05 front end, so I am just trying to find some info on what those go for. Any advice or input appreciated!!

I picked up my 05 WRX for 21500, so I think you should be able to find an 04 for 18500. Mine was a base model (no spoiler, turbo gauge, auto-dim rear view mirror, sunroof). Just start doing searches and putting offers down. You might get a bite from someone who was trying to sell their car for more then it was worth, and finally just wants to get rid of it.

it's very do-able, especially for an 04 private party.
Another option would be to check your dealer for an executive driven 04 or 05. They're purchased directly from Subaru, and have usually under 5,000 miles driven by manufacturers representitives. Those would be going for high teens/low 20's as well, and you can probably get a longer loan term from a dealer to keep your payment where you want it.
