tranny leak at drain plug
i just replaced my tranny fluid with scottys cocktail. shifts alot better and i definitely notice the difference. problem is i now have a leak at the drain plug. does the tranny drain plug have a washer? when i took it off there was none. do i need to tighten even more?

a lot of times on drain plugs there is a gasket so yhou get a good solid seal. it like a small flat ring that goes around the bolt. similar to an oil drain plug gasket.

yea i didnt replace it. didnt know about it and since i didnt see a washer i just thought it didnt use anything. thanks for the help
you need to replace the drain plug gasket aka crush washer
in a pinch you can turn it upside down
this is in no way a way to get out of putting a new one on
they are less than a nickle btw

If and when you get it replaced could you post the specs of the crush ring? I've been meaning to replace mine too since I've replaced my fluid twice now and soon a 3rd time. Cocktail --> Valvoline Dino ---> Extra-S Gold (soon)
Btw, you should read a little more about the cocktail if you haven't..
