Thinking of early year RS's
Thinking of early year RS's
Im looking into getting a new car, hopefully a Subaru. I would like to get an Impreza 2.5 RS. Since I am a student, Im looking for something cheap, but good, so Im looking at the early year RS's.
I was thinking of trying to find a 98 RS, since it has the DOHC motor. However, my main question is, why did they change the engine to a SOHC after the first year?
I would like to get the DOHC 98 since Ive been told I would see good performance from it with minor mods.
Also, how is the reliability of the early year RS's (like 98-2000)?
And lastly, if anyone knows of any RS's (98 preferably) for sale in New England for $10k or under let me know. I would like to get a car from a dealer since it would most likely have a warrenty and I could possibly finance it.
Thanks for any info...
