If you keep it stock it wont be a problem. Most people don't blow up their transmissions by supercharging a camary.

Higher pressure motors like the STI and wrx don't last as long as a low pressure engine like a toyota camary. Most people tell me that the head gasket will have to be changed around 100k but it should easily last to then with typical to spirited driving conditions.

Also understand that a STI is a race car. Tires are more expensive, gas is more expensive, and just about any part is more expensive.

just my .02

Im comparing Apples to Oranges here (STI to Tundra), I know the Tundra will last me forever, will the sti follow?

Honestly the STI tranny is VERY strong and will take alot of abuse before breaking. Its not like the WRX trannys in any way.

There is only one problem most people find out with an STI. It has a tendcy for boost creep with modified exhausts. I have heard the stock may do it too but i can't confirm.

Other than that its a rock solid car.

First off, the guys at nasioc are liberal scum who don't think people should pay for their irresponsibility..... They want to extend health care and warranty coverage to everyone!!!

Ok, but seriously, Subary has to deal with thousands of cases in which modded cars driven rediculously hard will break. You can launch your car fast by slipping the clutch, but you can easily destroy your tranny if you drop the clutch and don't slip it properly.

As far as toyota is concerned, they screwed me before on bad valve seals and an IAC warranty issue, so I can't agree.

My suby has about 50k miles and has NO issues. It is well maintained and I drive it responsably (yet fast).

Now assuming im nice to it (come on, I drive a 4 banger ranger, I think I would be), ie, no launches out of first (well maybe a few), how long is this baby gonna last me? Also, I'm not sure if I like the way SOA is handling their warrenty claims, Toyota seems much better about honoring them. Anyways, what do you guys think?

1) Suby gonna last past 100K with reg maitence

2) SOA gonna keep on being immature about legit warrenty claims?

Thanks a lot, replies much appreciated
