Thumbs down Refueling problem

When I go to the gas pump, the fuel constantly backs up in the fill line. I'm assuming this because it stops about every quarter gallon unless I let the gas trickle out of the pump. I figure it is a clogged vapor hose, but I can't figure on which one. Anyone who has experience and could shed some light on the situation would be extremely helpful. Here is the fiche of the fuel filler line.

Does this happen at more than one gas station using different gas pump nozzles? I've seen this happen on gas pumps equipped with faulty vapor recovery systems like in CA - does your location have the vapor recovery at the filler nozzle?

not sure about the vapor recovery, but I've had it happen consistently at over a dozen gas stations, so I am pretty sure it is internal.

re: refueling problems

I'm having the same problem and it is a serious pain in the ***. It takes a full 10 to 15 minutes to refuel a full tank.

I don't have any new theories about the problem but if it is the vapor return line, isn't that part of the emissions equipment and subject to warranty repair for longer than the regular warranty period?

I don't know what else it could be as no local members (Reno NV, Sacramento CA, or San Francisco Bay Area) have posted similar problems. I wonder if colder weather could have something to do with the vapor problem...
