Wondering if any of your have the same problem as me...went to turn on the radio this morning (it was slightly cold -11C outside) and there was this crazy squeel coming from the speakers/radio. When I turned the CD player on, there was no noise.....
It has happened before but seems to go away when it warms up (outside).

Anyone else have this problem - or think it could cause harm to the radio/speakers?

I drive a '03 TS wagon.

You probably have a bad condenser(capacitor) on the back of the alternator. This is a small metal cylinder connected to the battery output post on the back of alternator. When it is cold, it shrinks the insides and causes it to stop working. try replacing it. Also, may be a bad belt generating some static electricity.
