Question Subaru Finance Rate
Correct me if I am wrong. But when the WRX first came here to the US. Didn't Subaru have some special finance rate for all Subarus except for the WRX? Then, later on the WRX was included/qualified for them special rates?
Do you guys think Subaru would soon include the STi on the crazy special rates they have now? (0.0%/24 months and 1.9% up to 63 months) Maybe when the 05 comes in? When is the 05 coming anyway? The best rate I could find right now is 4.00% with a local credit union. and 1.9% would save a lot more on interest.
??

The only advantage with credit unions is(i'm talking to one now)
1. Usually fixed rate, won't change with economy or time.
2. Usually no penalty for an early pay of the balance. I think dearlships don't like this. But if you can pay alot of the balance in the first year the interest won't be that bad and if you come across more money than you think you'd have you can pay it off without a penalty and be done.
3. Those crazy low rates are with really good credit only. I have A+ credit but i cant afford the payments of a brand new car so i'm going used and probably modded.
4. If you want to mod make sure your dealership is ok with that.

Yeah, I should check out that penalty thing with Subaru.
I too have great credit and I have not problem getting the crazy low rate.
Why do I need to make sure the dealership is cool with my mod of my car? Are you thinking about leasing the car?
my main question was, do you guys think the STi would eventually be included in this crazy low rate thing. anyone?

that could be true... but didn't SOA say the WRX was 'limited' as well when it first came in? And in the same year SOA ended up with shipping in more WRX than originally committed to? So what are the numbers (number of vehicle shipped to US) like for the 2004 WRX and STi in the US? Thanks!

IMO i really don't think they will resort to that considering the limited production for the 1st year. the whole idea of crazy rates is to stimulate a spurt in sales. i seriously don't think they need to promote the sti in that way... at least for now.

When my friend and I wen't in in Feb, during the 2.9 for 60 months, I inquired about what credit score one would need for that. I was told 660 or higher and it could be done.
