price on New STI

Hello,
I just bought a STi last weekend in Kansas City, MO. I live in Omaha, NE, but none of the dealers here had an STi they'd let me drive. The KC dealer emailed me a price quote under MSRP, they had 6 STis in stock and even had a demonstrator STi for test drives. I drove down there on Saturday(2.5 hrs, all interstate), test drove it, was blown completely away and drove home in a new blue STi. MSRP was $32,294; I paid $30,995. Basically, I got $1300 worth of options and the destination fee for free. They also gave me a little better than blue book for my trade in, so with a net cost of just under $17K I was happy. But hey, you can't put a price on the *****-out fun this car is all about. What a kick-*** ride!
The dealer told me that the 04 STi production is done, and '05s won't be available until around June or July. He said they heard there would not be any major changes to the 05 STi, if any. Now's probably a good time to buy an 04, as some dealers are willing to discount from MSRP. I'd certainly recommend Jack Miller Subaru in North Kansas City. Good dealer. Contact Marvin Powers, the Internet Sales Manager. Cheers!
