Planning to get a WRX....

Hey all, i'm sorta new to the forums, and i'm planning to get a '05 WRX soon. I'm not so big on cash right now, but i was wondering when is a really good time to go check it out at a dealership. Tips and tricks are appreciated, thanks all.

agreed...get an 05 now the prices have gone down quite a but. i'm sure a local dealership would be willing to cut you a nice deal too, they'll be wanting to rid the lot of all the 2005 cars.

just keep your eyes peeled.

Well, not that it did dropped the price, unless it is the last 05 WRX remaining and the dealer is trying to get rid of it. But, I agree, anytime now until the end of the year is the time to go look into it.

If I was in your shoes, I would wait few more months before buying one. This way you can save up a bit more than what you have right now to come up with a decent down payment. I hope you're not too picky when it comes to color, accesories, etc. Right now, there are not much options and color you may like. As the year closes, dealers want to get rid of the remaining 05 models to bring in the full line 06 of a specific model. You have a better chance in getting a great price on an 05 WRX. I bought mine recently, and I was able to get OTD @24k. You maybe able to do a little better toward the end of the year. Good luck!

The downtown Oakland dealer is supposed to have some '05 stock remaining at some mega discounts. Give em a call - there's an iclub member who works there but I forget his user name

And get a wagon

go to subaru.com and do a inventory search on dealer. Pick the one you like and ask for a quote. I have asked around $300-500 under invoce is easy to get!

Generally speaking, the last day of the month is the best time to get a car.

with the $1500 rebate and $500 under invoice. you are talking about $2000 under invoice price.

I was reading about the '06 WRX TR, and i was wondering if it's worth getting that instead of a '05 WRX. What are your thoughts and opinions?

If you don't mind the looks, I say get the '06. 2.5L engine.
