Ok, so I'm a new Scoobie owner (04 WRX Wagon) & definitely loving it. Maybe because I love this car so much, I get paranoid with every little thing I hear. Hmm, anyone else feel like this? I admit, I can't help it. It's my baby!
ANYWAY, is it normal to hear a high pitched moaning-whistling sound when you're on the freeway (doubt it's the turbo, i know what that sounds like)??? Once I hit about 70mph, I hear it. I don't know how to describe it, just that it's like a high moaning sound. Any ideas??? Oh yeah, I'm starting to hear the window squeeking when I roll it down...grrrr

LOL! I was like that when I got my very own first car. I had it park downstairs and I could see it from my window. I would look outside every 15 minutes or something. It's normal 
And the sound is normal. It's like a jet engine. I could hear mine at any speed when I go over ~3000 rpm.
window squeeking also comes with it. just clean the rubber piece by the side mirrors. (between the rubbers where the window slides...)

actually the sound is coming from your mirror. hard to explain, but when you're going fast (say 80mph) it starts to make that whining sound.. a lot of people have complained about it.. and yes, it's weird.
