Angry pancover pins

I just did my first oil change (200 miles - New Mobile1 0w-30). Of course, I messed up one of the little plastic pin/clips. Where does one get them (other than the dealer)? And what are they called to do a search for them?

Thanks

Thumbs up Pancover Oins

Hi

Have a o4 XT I also chg my oil myself. The Pins are a ***** the first time or two. There was a Post on Edmunds long ago that gave photos etc. and a few
tricks as to removal etc. It was in the Turbo page as I recall. You could put "Oil Chg" in their search window and dig it out.

Luck, deadeye

I barfed one before I learned how they were removed.

It's ok for now, I just wanted to know what to ask for (or if there is a substitute)and where they are purchased (if other than the dealer).

There is no close dealer to me but I will go and get some to have.

Wait... you used synthetic at 200 miles? Has something changed, because I thought that was the biggest no-no you could do?

It's up to you. A lot of cars come w/ synthetic straight from the factory. I believe the Mitsu evo does. I waited till 3k to put synthetic in. I think you should wait till at least 1000 since that is the end of the break in period.

Hey Oaf,

Did you replace yours with well nuts? Just wondering what size you used if you did.
