where can I find the number of 04/05 STi unit sold in the US and/or specificly CA? Also number of 04/05 WRX unit sold. This way we can do some comparison. How about number of units made? Thanks!

umm working at a subaru dealership, i could get that same car for 31500 OTD. Here's a lil tip, go to the dealership near the end of the month, say around 24th of the month. now there should be a board near the manager's desk that has all the employees names and how many cars they sold so far. check if the dealership is selling cars for the month or not. now do this for all the dealerships around your area (hey you wanna save money or not?) .. also keep in mind which salesmen had the lowest sales in each dealership and remember his name. now go to the dealership with the lowest sales at the last day of the month and ask for the salesman with the lowest sales. im sure you'll get something close to 31500 OTD on a 05

Employee discounts usually equal a 100 net profit.
That means invoice minus holdback plus $100 (which on the car you mentioned would be 29,929, about 900 more than what he said he could sell it for). I find it very hard to believe that a dealership would sell an STi for an 800 loser.
Dealerships will do that on cars that aren't moving or aren't popular 'cough baja cough cough' but not a STI.

so are you saying that dealer holdback is about $700? I always thought is ~$1500-$2000 minmum. How do you know what the holdback is? XkrazyAsianX might also be talking about a bone stock STi.
If dealer holdback is $1500
Invoice is ~$30105
Employee Discount = ~$28705
After Tax = ~$31073
After License and Doc = ~$31500
So I guess it is possible.... well, if my holdback estimate is correct...

XkrazyAsianX , am I about right?
