As far as what condition it's in, I've got a pretty favorable 1 dimensional picture of it because of how many pictures the guy took, but I'll have a more 3 dimensional picture of it later today. He makes me feel that he's a pretty mild personality. That's not to say that my gut tells me he didn't beat on it so much as it tells me that he's being honest when he tells me that he didn't beat on it.

There is always the lingering question in my head, though, as to why his 'buy it now' price was $8800.

 

Did you CarFax? If he's not the first owner, you don't really know the whole story. just look for signs of collision repairs mostly. And removed mods.

Hey BAN, so I've been thinking KYB AGX with Eibach pro, or Tein Basic, or just springs on the existing struts. Thoughts?

Actually, this is probably idle thought because the first and only thing I'm probably going to do for a while is tires...but just thinking.

 

Haha... when you decide what you wanna do with the car, we'll talk more. but if it's jsut for street driving, springs and sway bars is fine.

 

I wonder if GD coilovers will fit GC. I know that the flex that I have on the WRX was reportedly only for the '02 sedan, but they fit fine on my wagon.

Also, those Ohlins that Gr8wheels have for sale look like too good of a deal to pass up. What do you think?

 

The only reservation about those Ohlins I had was not knowing the rates. However, I'm sure that one could discern them with a call to Ohlins, plus they could always be re-sprung. The unknown milage might be a concern, but they are a good deal.
