Question Looking for 2-Door Subi ?

I am looking for a 2-door Subaru that offers similar performance to my 2005 WRX.

Have seen several 2-door Subaru cars that look like a WRX - When researching model history it is difficult to find.

1.) What model and year 2-Door Subaru should I be looking for? I have no interest in the SVX (Too odd for my taste)

Intention of this car is a 2nd daily driver with performance tuning capability.

2.) Did Subaru ever make a 2-Door WRX???

i have seen pictures on the web of a supposed 2-door wrx, but sadly i think they were photoshop images. the only 2-door imprezas i'm aware of are the 2.5 rs models from the late 90's and early 2000's.

No WRX coupes in the US. You could always buy an 98-01 2.5RS and swap in a WRX motor.

I have only seen 2 door imprezas in the gm serries (95-01) and the usdm ones were not offered in wrx.. and you will have to do alot to get a 2.5rs to be as quick as a wrx... If you realy want one get your self a usdm 2 door and find a jdm wrx or sti and do the swap.. I would not buy a 2 door 2.5rs with an aftermarket turbo.. there is still a debate over snapping (usdm) passinger side connecting rod issues ... weather its high milage, heat from the turbo, or poor tuning.

eh..

take the money you would spend on a 01 RS and spend it on your WRX. You'll be much happier. A nice 2 door RS still goes for well over 10K, plus you need about 5-6K in mods just to get it to the level of a stock WRX. THINK of what your WRX would be capable of with HALF of that sum in mods. It will be so fast that nobody will even know it's 4 door, because all they'll see is the tail lights.
