I want to wash my car tonight before I meet up with the guys at Life plaza.. so my question is: (and this is totally n00bish, and I couldn't find it by searching) having never owned a car with an open scoop up front, It shouldn't matter if water gets in while washing right? I have a pressure washer at home that I used to wash my truck with (beleive me, worth every penny when dealing with a truck that size, cuts my wash time down by half, but i'm digressing). Thats not going to be a problem, am I correct? TIA
water
getting some water in the scoop isn't a problem. I'm not sure if I'd tempt fate by shoving a power washing nozzle onto the intercooler, or spraying into the scoop after a bunch of hot laps, but normal washing is fine.

Also: open the hood and clean out the leaves, twigs and such that can gather on the intercooler. I have used a hand-held vacuum cleaner to get out debris, which can be a problem here in the Northeast.
