took it in, found all 4 tires out of balance. They didn't charge me as the chances of weigths being thrown on all four is slim to none. Thought I felt it still after but haven't gotten to take it on the highway yet, so we'll see.

I didn't buy mine new, but seems to be only a very slight shudder, may even be the road. When I take it for a longer drive tomorrow, I'll see.

Hi guys

I'm having the same problem with MY00 RS, @ 115,000 miles, it's been bugging me like crazy. I came to the final conclusion that it's the rear wheel bearings since imprezas and foresters are having problems with this. I've changed tire & wheel combo twice, balanced the suckers for the tenth time and you still feel that "butt" shaking vibration. Suspension components are fine, no ripped or lose bushing on all four corners. I guess I have to disassemble the bearings like what RS WRC did to find out. Keep me posted.

It's another long shot: tires out of ROUND. They may balance on the machine, but ride like Humpty Dumpty on the road. Give it a look.

I am having this problem as well. It is definitly mot a warped rotor since is doesn't increase while braking. I'm thinking it's a wheel bearing or possibly a bad ball joint. I had an impact on the front left and the vibration has been getting worse and worse. It is also weird that the vibration subsides when I am going around turns. Has anyone come across the reason for this.

Todd
