I'm in the market for a used Legacy from 1999-2001 models.
I found one with 71,000 miles on it for around $10K I haven't looked into it as far as details yet but if everything checks out, how long will this car last before any major service needs to be completed.
Assuming it did have it's 60K service.

hello there, i have a 99 outback i'll give you a great deal on......... the fourth subi i've had and by far the worst, in my mind. my outback has 131,000 miles, a burnt valve and the fifth gear syncro is bad, looking at head work and a tranny rebuild, or syncro work at the least. I myself am going to do some restore work on my 90 LS sedan and start researching land cruisers.... i am planning on selling the outback once i fix the burnt valve and tranny from jumping out of fifth gear. Maybe i just got a bad car but i've heard a few other subi owners having simmular issues of satisfaction. Not trying to talk you out of it, just giving you some insight into my experience....good luck on shopping.... outback1
