how much can I really save at the end of the year?
Hi Guys,
I am trying to hold off buying a WRX until Dec when dealers are supposed to be desperate. I just want to know how much I can realistically expect to save. I know a lot of it has to do with my negotiation skills, but are we talking 2K or 4 or 5K? Just wondering if I should wait that long to pull the trigger.

I don't know if you can expect anything. It all depends on what kind of inventory is hanging around at the time. It's possible you could expect them to be out of stock and that you could not buy one at any price.
In any event whenever you attempt to buy one you are going to have to have a price in your mind that you would pay for the car. I would say why don't you just decide what that price is now and make the offer now.
You never know when that offer is going to look appealing to the dealer so you might as well do it sooner rather than later. Since you can wait until the end of the year you are under no pressure to budge on your offer until then.
You may get lucky and get accepted due to some end of the month quota requirement or some other unknown factor that motivates the dealer to accept your offer at any given time.
If not, you got time on your side so you can wait 'em out.
thats my 2 cents anyway
