Question How Many Of You......

Needed a part-time job, to pay for your STI???

I might be planning to sell my RS to upgrade to an STI........Even with my full time job,I would need a part-time job(Maybe a once or twice a week job)to keep up with all my expenses (Rent, Cell phone, internet, ect....).I always told myself, If I was to upgrade my car, I would go strait to the top......."Why tease myself with a WRX when I really want an STI?" so I was just wondering, how many of you took up a part time job so that you could afford an STI????

I wouldn't do it. It might be cool for the first few months, but after a while, working two jobs just to pay for a car is going to suck ***.

Ditto. Just buy a WRX and add the STi Hunter package....alot cheaper, and it should take stock STis without trouble...

Besides even a WRX is a load of fun compared to RS. :-)

The car itself isn't what you're going to be paying for. Insurance.

These are generally the cases that lead to STi's being reposessed...

Getting an 06 WRX is plenty ballsy... esp now with the new 2.5L... upgrading to a Cobb Stage 2 will have a bit more power than a stock STI... besides, its less flashy, wont get you unwanted (or wanted) attention, insurance is more affordable, and youll spend more time enjoying your car, rather than pinching pennies, trying to find the shortest route to save gas because you will fall 40 cents short on your STI monthly payment.

test drive an 06 WRX, you will not be disappointed... also, the TR is available... if you dont care about seats, color matched mirrors, and other stuff... you still get the upgraded brakes, same drivetrain, same wheels... etc etc... base WRX (non TR) is prolly the best deal for the money though...

Goodluck deciding!

Sonicsuby, your right.....I wouldn't mine it for the first few months, but something may happen down the road that could put me in a more tight financial situation.... I can't take that risk.....

I checked with my insurance......The WRX is not that far off from the RS.....The STI on the other hand WOW!

You talkin about an new STI or WRX or a used one! What about a wrx 2.0 swap with a vf34 on your RS?

Yeah man, all work and the only play you'd get is driving to and from work= no fun! Work to live, not live to work!
