Do you have to gap a Denso Iridium IK20 spark Plug?
The gap out of the box is 1.1mm or 0.44in.
The Subaru factory service manual recommends 0.7-0.8mm or 0.028-0.031
But I was also told that you do not need to gap iridium plugs.

Yes, you should gap them, but do not touch the irdium center electrode with the gapper... they break off. I would at least get it down to .034 or so... just be careful.
