Good deal on 00 rs?
Good deal on 00 rs?
Im looking at a 2000 rs. They want 10k for it but it has 109k miles. Just wondering if thats a fair price. Seems a little high to me for a car with over 100k miles.

Yeah it's high. What rims are those? They are freaking ugly. Anyhoo, it looks like the seller did some mods to it, mostly cosmetic. Might explain the high price. I wouldn't pay that much for it. Especially from a car I know zero history about. If it was driven hard, it will need new struts and springs soon. As well as a new clutch.
RS is tough
A lot of people get frustrated trying to find a nice RS. They're few and far between, which lends to the rarity, which drives the price up, which makes people ask 10K for a 110K car, because someone will want it bad enough that they'll offer 9K.
If you really want one, be patient. My advice? There's a 2002 WRX for sale with about that mileage on NASIOC right now. If you're cool with that kind of mileage, his ASKING price is only 12K.....

wow looks kinda nice to me buddy...some kinda gold rims (kinda ugly but theyll do until u get new 1s lol) plus u have the sti wing on it so thats cool too....id see if u can haggle it down due to the mods tho... try this
http://www.edmunds.com/tmv/used/inde...munds....3.1.*
www.edmunds.com
and go to the used car portion and use their True Market Value ...for my zipcode and the 109k mileage and it at an "average" level of quality...it gives me $5615 for private party and $7008 for dealer retail...they'll probably hassle u and say the wing and stuff are done and u wont have to do it so factor in those prices...dont fall into that scam, protest it and claim u wanted it to be original and blah blah blah, low ball em as much as u can...PLUS like any used car, they dont want it sitting there more than 30 days, call up some time and randomly ask some questions and ask how long it has been there...also deal w\the internet/fleet manager on the car - most of the time the internet/fleet manager doesnt give a damn what price it goes at as long as its not under what they took it in for and theyre usually based on volume anyways
read up on edmunds and ask questiosn so u can low ball the hell outta em
and as far as me...i should be getting my 01 2.5RS BRP 4r 5spd 66k miles tomorrow for $11,996
and thats from a carmax dealer

Thank you
Thanks for the help, from what your saying i would be able to get that for 6-8k?
Sorry to say though that im not going to make a move on it yet, chances are that one will be gone by the time im ready to get an rs this summer.
My parents are a little hesident about me spending that kind of cash on a car. They both grew up in the city and didnt get cars till their mid 20s. My dad still drives a 91 legacy with 250k miles so you can see new cars arnt a priority. My plan is to pay off my insurance when it comes around again next month then start throwing all my money in the bank till they see that it really isnt a problem. I aready have 8k saved up but would rather not spend it all...
