I just bought a 1997 Impreza Outback sport. The miles are high, but I am saving for a swap in the near future. I do need to use the car as a daily driver in the mean time, so is there anything in specific that needs to be addressed or should I just look for the usual things that go wrong?

 

Perform a 105k tune-up. That includes having all the belts, fluids and pads changed. Maybe a new waterpump and thermostat while you're down in there. How many miles is on the motor?
