Exhaust suggestions!!!

I'm going to be picking up an 07 wrx, was looking for some advice on which cat back exhaust I should go with. I love the sound of the boxer motor and also like the exhaust that's sits kind of offset/sideways. Any suggestions thanks all!!

Invidia n1? It's angled, loud, and high quality. Comes in street (with a resonator in the mid pipe) or race (no resonator) and either stainless or burnt titanium tip...

Check out some of the I club vendors for good deals, or check out Cygnus performance. Pretty low prices.

Looks like I should go with a turbo back setup... Something about it not being able to get a good seal at the stock down pipe. Any idea about that being an issue?

If you get a catback you will need an adapter like this...
Cygnus Performance | Late Model Import Parts STi, WRX, Evo - 3" Downpipe to Factory Cat-Back Exhaust Adapter

But a turboback will be louder and more importantly gain you more power.

Thats correct. My old Invidia N1 Race didnt seal up to the stock dp very well. It was fine once I put on my catless dp. Ive heard most Invidia N1's are like this.

you will need some sort of engine management or tune if you get a turbo back. ANd for exhausts it depends on how loud you want to go

I def want it to be as loud as possible, while gaining as much horsepower as possible and staying legal. Any idea how much a tune is and if it would effect warranty from the dealer?

A tune and exhaust will negate your engine/transmission warranty.

And no, you don't want loud as possible. It gets old fast. There is reason that loud exhausts are the most common ones FS in classifieds.

Ignore this dude, all he posts is negativity. Low cars are retarded, loud exhaust is played out... Etc.

If you get an accessport, it can be uninstalled so the dealer never even knows you had it. Also, the exhaust can be swapped for your stock for dealer work. Some dealerships will even install aftermarket parts for you, but I always return to stock to avoid the possible hassle. So your warranty should be fine.

And as far as loud, powerful, and legal...
Loud is illegal, so how loud you go depends on how much risk you are willing to take. You get more volume and power out of a turboback exhaust.

Btw I'm running a high flow catted Perrin downpipe with a resonated 3" straight pipe... Loud! But I love it.

It's your car so do what makes you happy
