Driving Lights!
I'm a new WRX owner (wagon), and this is my first posting on this forum, so I apologize if this is an old, dead topic.
Anybody know how to disable the daytime driving lights? I feel like I'm driving a rental car! I know I could disable it at the safety brake, but that would cause the brake light to be on all the time.
Thanks!
Dan

There is a grey colored plug on the passenger side of the car just to the right of the turbo, near the boost selinoid. All you have to do is disconect it and the running lights go out. If you need any more instructions or some pics to help, try going to www.subymods.com

Thanks guys - is this the gray plug that is by itself and attached directly to the fender well? Also, just to make sure, we are talking '04, right?
As for trying the search engine for forums first - I did that but either I don't know how to choose careful keywords, or it looked like it would take hours to find the right thread.

You may want to just unplug the the relay switch that is located behind and just underneath the glove box if you plan on installing HID. Try doing a search in scooby mods. I would post the link but I cann't search there since I'm not a member.

I just installed HIDs on my 04 WRX wagon. There's no need disconnect the relay for the 04. Just unplug the grey plug near the right shock tower, secure it, and you're done. For the '02-03 WRX, you have to unplug the relay as well. '02-03 WRX are using a (9007) single bulb for low/hi beams, '04 are using h1 low, 9005 hi. Hope this helps....PM me if you want to know how to install HIDs for the '04 WRX. You have to do some minor splicing to the stock wiring.
